Trauma therapy in Austin, TX & CO
You’re not broken & there’s nothing wrong with you.
Let’s clear the crap trauma left behind…
Maybe you’ve told yourself it “wasn’t that bad,” or minimized what happened. You’ve powered through, distracted yourself with work, relationships, and perfectionism - anything to avoid that feeling.
But lately? The anxiety, emotional flooding, nightmares, or total shutdown are getting harder to ignore. You’re not broken. You’re not too much. Your nervous system is doing its best to protect you, but it’s TIRED!
What trauma actually looks like:
Trauma doesn’t always come from one big event. It can be the slow buildup of emotional neglect, betrayal, feeling unseen or unsafe in your own body. It might show up as:
Chronic anxiety or hypervigilance
Trouble trusting yourself or others
People-pleasing and perfectionism
Feeling numb or checked out
Having a hard time feeling close to anyone
Avoiding memories, places, or people
That “something’s wrong with me” feeling you can’t shake
I’m here for you.
You’ve told the story. Now let’s get it out of your system.
You don’t have to relive the past to heal from it. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help your brain and body process stuck trauma so you can finally feel more centered, grounded, and in control.
We’ll work gently but effectively, building safety first, then helping your nervous system actually believe you’re safe now. I may also incorporate parts work, somatic strategies, and nervous system regulation tools depending on your needs.
This is more than coping (you’re already doing that), it’s about real, lasting shifts.
Feel familiar?
You feel scared to tell your story because you don’t know what will happen if you do.
You’re exhausted from constantly tiptoeing around other people’s feelings and bending over backward for folks who don’t show you the same care.
You feel numb or checked out and struggle to be present in your life.
You’re overreacting or underreacting to situations (and then judging yourself for it).
you’ve done the insight thing, now let’s help your body catch up.
EMDR goes deeper than talk therapy, so you can stop feeling like your brain and emotions are fighting all the time.
Trauma work is not a one-size-fits-all approach - especially if you’re navigating complex trauma or early attachment wounds. I understand how that kind of pain doesn’t always come from one big event, but from years of unmet needs, emotional neglect, or relationships where you had to earn your worth. That kind of trauma runs deep, and it can shape how safe (or unsafe) it feels to be in connection with others and with yourself. That’s why we’ll move gently, at a pace your nervous system can handle, with full respect for the protective parts of you that helped you survive.
Some days, that might look like EMDR to process painful memories or stuck beliefs. Other days, we might focus on building internal safety, resourcing your nervous system, or tending to younger parts that still carry fear or shame. Whether we're working with somatic strategies, parts work, or simply learning how to be in the moment, the goal is the same: helping you feel more connected, more grounded, and more like you - without constantly bracing for the worst.
Ultimately, what matters most is this:
You’ve already survived the hard part. Now it’s time to feel safe living your life again.
What we’ll work on
Imagine a life where you…
RESPOND TO STRESS WITHOUT GOING NUMB, SHUTTING DOWN, OR EXPLORING
REBUILD A CONNECTION WITH YOUR BODY THAT FEELS SAFE, STEADY, AND ON YOUR OWN TERMS
SET BOUNDARIES WITHOUT SPIRALING INTO GUILT OR PEOPLE-PLEASING
KNOW YOUR VALUE DOESN’T DEPEND ON BEING PERFECT, YOUR PRODUCTIVITY, OR HOW EASY YOU ARE TO BE AROUND
MOVE THROUGH LIFE WITH MORE EMOTIONAL RANGE AND LESS REACTIVITY
MORE GROUNDED IN WHO YOU ARE, NOT JUST WHO YOU HAD TO BE
START CHOOSING RELATIONSHIPS THAT FEEL NOURISHING
LEARN NERVOUS SYSTEM-SOOTHING TOOLS THAT ACTUALLY WORK IN REAL LIFE
FINALLY SAY THE HARD STUFF OUT LOUD WITHOUT HAVING TO EXPLAIN IT ALL
LET GO OF SHAME AND START HONORING THE VERSION OF WHO YOU ARE NOW

you’re not too much and it’s not too late.
Let’s talk about what healing could look like for you.

If you’ve experienced something overwhelming, whether recently or years ago, and it still affects your body, relationships, or sense of safety, trauma therapy can help. Trauma doesn’t always look like a “big event.” It can show up as anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, chronic stress, or feeling disconnected from yourself.

No. You don’t have to relive the past to heal from it. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which helps your brain and body process trauma without going into every detail. We focus on building safety first, then gently working through what’s keeping you stuck.

I work with complex trauma, attachment wounds, childhood emotional neglect, relationship trauma, and the kind of “not technically traumatic” stuff that still shapes how safe and worthy you feel in the world. You don’t have to have a specific label, if it still lives in your body or mind, we can work with it.

Sometimes therapy stirs things up, but we go at your pace, with tools to help you stay grounded along the way. We don’t dive into trauma without building safety first. You're always in control of the process.

That’s incredibly common. Many of my clients are outwardly successful but carry old wounds that show up in anxiety, burnout, or self-doubt. Just because you’ve learned to function doesn’t mean you have to keep surviving that way. You deserve to feel peace, not just push through.
